What is a Bible?

The bible is not an account of man's effort to reach God, but of God's endeavor to reveal Himself to man. It is composed of 66 books written over a period of 1600 years by over 40 men of various backgrounds – lawgivers, kings, artisans, farmers, fishermen, prophets and scholars. It was written in different countries, under different social cultures and political conditions: yet, in its harmony, it is chronologically, historically, doctrinally, prophetically, and scientifically correct.
